“Harry Potter: Crochet Wizardry” Golden Snitch Blanket

My sisters and I have always been Harry Potter fans. We loved watching the movies with our dad growing up. And now, we get to share the Wizarding World love with our own kids.

I had gotten the [Harry Potter: Crochet Wizardry, Official Harry Potter Crochet Pattern Book] with the intent to make scarves for my kids. But when I saw the Golden Snitch pattern, knew I had to give it a go. And with the announcement of my sister’s pregnancy, it was the perfect opportunity.

What I enjoyed about the Harry Potter Crochet Wizardry book was that it provides a number of amazing patterns at varying difficulty levels.

What this book does not do, however, is teach how to crochet. You will not find any instruction on how to do different stitches. It does have a list in the back of abbreviations to read patterns, but that is it. (Don’t fret! YouTube has a lot of great tutorials!)

I did have a lot of fun making the Golden Snitch blanket, and for being only my second crochet project, I’m pretty proud of it.

It’s not perfect, and the next time I will definitely do a few things differently. But this was fun to make, and I can’t wait to wrap my new nephew in it!
