Wassail- The Perfect Warm Cider to Spice Up Your Christmas Season

I was first introduced to wassail through my husband's family. Since then, it has become a staple part of our Christmas celebrations (I even started adding it to our Thanksgiving spread.)

While some cook wassail on the stove, I prefer to cook it in my crockpot. I make it first thing in the morning, and let the sweet aroma fill the house all day. Accompanied by some good classic Christmas music, it sure puts me in the holiday spirt.

Simply add all ingredients to the crockpot and let it simmer on low till the sugars are all dissolved, then keep on warm. Optional to add the loose clove and allspice to a tea filter so you don't have to fish them out of your mugs.

Give wassail a try at your next holiday, it's sure to be a hit!
