Hi, I’m Michaela

—a military wife, stay-at-home mom, and lifelong maker who believes creativity should be both approachable and joyful.

Michaela Makes It began as a love for sewing and has grown into a creative business where I offer handmade goods, easy-to-follow tutorials, and tabletop miniature services—all designed to help you create (or collect!) something you truly love. From the beginning, my goal has been simple: make high-quality, thoughtful creations and share the knowledge behind them.

One of my signature offerings is Jelly Roll Rugs, each one carefully stitched with durability, color, and character in mind. I also create a variety of sewn accessories and home goods that add a handmade touch to everyday life—perfect for gifting or keeping for yourself.

For makers who want to learn, I share step-by-step sewing tutorials directly on my website, so you can confidently create at your own pace. To go along with that, I host Michaela’s Makers Circle, a free creative community where makers can find inspiration, encouragement, and behind-the-scenes peeks at what I’m working on. Creativity is better when it’s shared, and this space is all about growing together.

When I step away from the sewing machine, you’ll usually find me at the gaming table. I bring my eye for detail into my Miniature Services, which include painting guides, custom paint recipes, and assembly or ready-to-ship miniatures for Warhammer and D&D—helping hobbyists spend less time figuring things out and more time enjoying the game.
